This process aims at raising awareness of psychological factors involved in mental health and employs a broad array of strategies, tailored to the client’s needs, that lead to change. The psychotherapeutic intervention occurs within a therapeutic relationship that is based on unconditional acceptance of the client, empathy, and understanding from the therapist, in a safe and confidential environment. The goals of psychotherapy are set collaboratively (based on the client’s needs and on the recommendations of the psychologist). During psychotherapy sessions, clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors with the therapist’s help, in a safe space that encourages healing and change.

Individual Psychotherapy

These sessions aim to understand psychological mechanisms involved in emotional and behavioral difficulties, to apply techniques and strategies that manage emotional distress and problematic behaviors, and to continuously monitor the therapeutic relationship and goals that are set collaboratively. The sessions last approximately 50 – 60 minutes and are conducted in a one-on-one format (just the client and the psychologist).

Group Psychotherapy

Group psychotherapy follows the principles of individual therapy, but applies them in the context of a group composed of people with similar problems or goals, in a confidential and safe environment. Group psychotherapy helps develop social skills and facilitates obtaining social support from people going through similar life situations or problems. Psychotherapy groups consist of two to six people, and the duration of a session is of approximately 2 hours.

Couples’ Psychotherapy

Couples’ psychotherapy helps partners understand their relationship and identify possible obstacles and difficulties in their dynamics, in order to improve interaction, increase relationship satisfaction, and resolve interpersonal conflicts. Sessions last approximately 50 – 60 minutes and are held between the couple and the psychologist.
